Extreme Shoes

I have found my shoe Mecca—the BATA Shoe Museum in Toronto, Canada. I must, at some point, make my way there to bask in the glow of glorious SHOES! (Me? A fanatic? Yup!)

I wish I could beam myself there right now. One of the current exhibits
is, On Pointe: The Rise of the Ballet Shoe. I love ballet and have previously read about the evolution of the Pointe (or Toe) shoe. It’s interesting if you’re an arts geek like me.

But today I thought I would share some pics of the more extreme contemporary designs for women’s high heels. These pictures were taken at the museum and kindly shared on Flickr.
